Synopsis
Fall in love with one of the bestselling novels of all time -- the legendary love story that became a beloved film starring Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep. If you've ever experienced the one true love of your life, a love that for some reason could never be, you will understand why readers all over the world are so moved by this small, unknown first novel that they became a publishing phenomenon and #1 bestseller. The story of Robert Kincaid, the photographer and free spirit searching for the covered bridges of Madison County, and Francesca Johnson, the farm wife waiting for the fulfillment of a girlhood dream, The Bridges of Madison County gives voice to the longings of men and women everywhere -- and shows us what it is to love and be loved so intensely that life is never the same again.

Excellent! Top-notch seller! Book came in excellent condition just as said, and wrapped extremely secure and he even double wrapped it tightly so there could not possibly be any damage from the shipping. I am extremely impressed and will buy from again! You should trust them too!

I received an old put-of-print book which is hard to find so I was concerned about how it would be wrapped and shipped, but it wrapped VERY well and arrived in a timely manner. It is also in very good condition, even better than I expected or as it was described. I was very pleased! It was worth the price. Thank you!

  • True Love Story

Bridges of Madison County is actually a true love story of Robert Kincaid, a professional photographer from Seattle, Washington. It takes you through the real life emotions of living and loving for you. The love in this story is truly amazing and makes me believe in love again.

  • My all time favorite romance book!

I read this book long time ago when it came out in the early 90's. I read it in one sitting read it in 1 day without stopping it was that incredible. It's the only book I wouldn't mind reading it again. The movie was a complete flop it does not come close to this book.

  • Bridges of Madison Co.

This is a great book with a great story line --- the movie by the some name follows the book story line exactly --- the movie is a must see after reading the book or vice versa (movie acting is superb starring Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep and directed by Eastwood) --- the covered bridges in Iowa are very famous and two out of the seven remaining bridges are featured in the book and movie, the most famous being the Roseman Bridge --- the setting is a farm house located in Madison Co. along with the two bridges and the nearby town of Winterset, Iowa.--- I highly recommend reading the book and viewing the movie!
