This seller is the most deceitful and untrusting person I have ever bought from on eBay in my life. I needed a filter and he cost more than other sellers but noticed the description said he was shipping from Miami (which is 150 mi away) and said it’ll take only 2 days. So I bought this only to find out it was shipping from California and would be taking 8-9 days instead. I contacted the seller but he was NOTHING BUT RUDE! Didn’t attempt to make a single apology and is making it hard to return it

    Don't waste your money!

    The Rubber boot itself is too stiff causing the boot to tear when you slip it over the shift handle . You cannot slip this on from the small end of the shift lever that is in the steering column even if you take the pin out and remove the lever because there is an overdrive wire that you would have to disassemble the steering column to unplug.I bought the OEM Ford boot and it is much more pliable, Slipped over the shift handle fine and re-formed nicely around the small shaft of the shift lever. Snapped in place great and does not come loose like the Dorman unit. You pay twice as much for the Ford OEM boot but it is well worth it!

    RUBBER PART TO STIFF

    The rubber were the shifter is to thick, not like the original one just not as flexible as the factory one, causing the cover to pop out when using the shifter. have to use the original one again.

    Great replacement to split original boot

    Fits just as you'd expect. Rubber is not as pliable as original, so I did have to remove the shift lever to install. But a great and affordable fix to my split 20yr old boot.

    Might better try a Motorcraft part next time

    The part was expensive to put on which was not the part's fault. However, it did not fit well enough to stay secure (torque on the rubber portion from gear shift lever moving caused the plastic to become dislodged and in the way of the key entry). I had to remove it.
