Half decent documentary of the band I love. Kinda dark and low quality digital camera but what do you want it was 1995 and most of us didn't have the forsight to take video footage of the final tour. We were busy selling tye dyes and Canadian beers. "Twice the buzz with half the time going to the john" Worked for me! Takes me back to the greatest show on earth! The bus came by and I got on, now I get on the bus every now and then. Too busy making a living. Definately worth seeing if you were there back in the day. Or if your trying to understand what it was that attracted us to the scene. The Fat Man! He's gone and he's never coming back. Let there be songs to fill the air! Enjoy!
This is great for die-hard Grateful Dead fans, like my boyfriend. It is really neat to see all the people inside of the shows, and all of the things you might not see otherwise, if you just purchase a dvd where you just see the band playing...most of the time, with Grateful Dead shows, you get to see more than you would with any other band..but this dvd tries to capture what it was really like to follow the band...what is NOT cool, is i am not sure why in the world there is hardly any Grateful Dead music throughout the whole thing!! It gets kinda boring after a while...if there had been music and band experience mixed with all the cool people talk,etc..it would be near perfect..do not buy this if you are looking for the music...definitely disappointing..but, like I said, if you are a die-hard fan, you will like it. Hail to Jerry!!Read full review
who the hell ARE THESE PEOPLE? where in the world did they find these scumbag drunken street trash ?they certainly have NO RESEMBLANCE to DEADHEADS !!!if anything they are perfect examples of the CLUELESS PARTY SEEKERS who KILLED THE GRATEFUL DEAD - entitlement-obsessed pseudo-hippies who mumble cumpulsory platitudes about peace and love when faced with a camera, who wouldnt be able to accurately name ten grateful dead songs if thier life depended on it... i turned it off when a teenaged girl talked about how alcohol is causing violence and ruining the "scene" while she SOLD BEER!!! ADDENDUM-added about a week later- still dont find this film really enjoyable, but upon completing watching rest of film, i start to see that maybe it was the filmmaker's intent-in the first half of film-to INTENTIONALLY document and portray just exactly those elements of irresponsible,non-conscious,non-Deadhead,fractured party-seekers, not-even-aware-of-what-it-is-that-they're-killing crackheads, junkies and alcoholics which had invaded,en masse, the Grateful Dead.Read full review
If you were there you will love this movie. Brings back the best of memories. Be warned, not something to watch all the time like a show. Worth it if you like documentaries.

Hello folks, this is a good choice for you heads that want to see the scene that was out there around the time Jerry Garcia passed on. It is a glimse into the band life and the lot life. Unfortunatily, there is really no music to speak of, I think that would be the only complaint that I would have, but if you want to see what you were missing it is great. I would recommend it to all heads and fans of the band and lifestyle. Peace.
