    Works like a champ

    It's in use now as my 2nd CPU, no issues at all. It came well cleaned and in excellent condition. If I had more sockets I'd definitely fill them with these processors

    All in all a good value starting point.

    I had just bought a Supermicro X8DTE-F dual cpu motherboard on eBay and was lucky to find a pair of these quad-core cpu's for $65 each and of the same "stepping", which means that they left the production line about the same time. Same stepping is desirable when running dual cpu's. They are a bit to the mainstream side, not being all that fast but not to slow either. I read somewhere that the L5520 can use all the functionality of the 5520 chipset (Tylersburg) motherboards although this cpu does not have the "trusted execution technology". There is really nothing to dislike about the L5520 cpu's having got them at such a good price. They perform nicely and gives me fifteen to twenty thousand points daily on folding@home running a cpu client only. I bought some ECC memory to go with the ...
