Renewing an old friend.
Being an avid music lover I always have my trusted old Ipod, sadly my old friend took a turn for the worst and stopped working, so I decided to get a replacement, luckily there are still 4th gen Ipod classic's out there so I got this one, It works great and the price was very convenient ,It arrived on time, I would definitely recommend and buy from this vendor again ,

Great product and the Collectors item
This is now a collector's item, finding one in a mint condition is fairly difficult. Product is great (as all iPods are), simple to use may not have all the features of the newer models (gen 5, 6 or 7) but what counts in the end is the music we all enjoy and listen and the sound quality which is pretty good. I am yet to realise whether there is really the difference in quality when compared to quality coming out of newer models or 'touches'/iPhones (don't like to use iPhone for music anyway). This is for both the headphones or stereo systems.This is now a collector's item, finding one in a mint condition is fairly difficult. Apple iPod U2 Special Edition 20GB
I love the music that was already on the iPod. There was much more than just the U2 collection that came on it. It had a large number of other songs that were right up my alley!! I like the size of the screen. It is easy to use, which is important because I am not real savvy about these things!! I am 51 years old, and this is my first product like this. I bought a 30 GB for my husband and fell in love with it! So, I found this one. Great price! Great songs! Easy to use! and then I have bought some other toys, like speakers to enhance the experience. This is so much more cost effective for me, and a way for me to really listen to my cd's. I NEVER listened to them because I was always having to jump up and change them. Apple iPod U2 Special Edition (20 GB) MP3 Player
I decided to purchase this product in order to use it as MP3 player for my car (new vw passat) in combination with the ipod adapter that vw provides. I was pleased to see that it's capacity was really huge; I have already copied almost my whole collection ! I also liked it's speed and easy menus. It is very easy to update in combination with the latest version of itunes. What I didn't like much was the fact that I had to purchase in addtion the usb cable and the charger. These produced for me an additional cost of 60 euros. Besides all these, it is a very handy device that gives you the possibility, with low cost, to turn your car's stereo system in an excellent mp3 player...I decided to purchase this product in order to use it as MP3 player for my car (new vw passat) in combination with the ipod adapter that vw provides. Apple Ipod 4th Generation -Easy to use with great sound
I've been using this model for almost 4 years now, and replaced it once due to the previous unit being lost (replaced with the same model) The 4th generation Ipod is about what you need for "just" music listening, if you do not intend to wach movies, photos, browsing the web, etc' etc'. Models available are the 10GB, 15GB, and 20GB which have a slim case, and also there is a 40GB model which case is a little bit thicker. The sound quality of the unit is very good, and it is very easy to operate and navigate through the menues and settings. Weak points of this older model is that the battery will no longer hold a charge after a few years of constant use, the good thing about that is that replacement batteries are available for purchase new here on Ebay for a very little sum, and with ... Just be careful when you open the casing, not to damage the internal ribbon cables and their connectors. Many other replacement parts are available to purchase too in case you need to replace anything other than the battery. Another weak point, is that the player has a mechanical hard drive, which can fail if you either drop or hit the unit. In my case, after replacing 3 drives during that time of ownership (I use it extensively, an average of 3 hours playing every day), I have decided to invest some money, buy an Ipod harddrive to CF (compact flash) memory card adapter, bought a 32GB CF card(the adapter costs a few dollars shipped, but the card is the expensive part), and installed it in place of the hard drive. After installation all it takes is to restore the unit with the "Ipod Updater", and transfer all of your music to it. The benefits of the CF card is 12 Extra GB's of space on top of the original 20, and the battery life increases by more than twice for a new battery. I've been using the CF card for more than a year now, and only had to restore the Ipod once. Overall the price of the CF card and the adapter, have more than paid for itself for not having to be extra careful with a unit containing a hard drive, and also not having to replace it if it fails. Hope this was helpful, and can give a little insight on this player, Sure there are many other modern players out there, from Apple itself too, but for a unit that I use only to listen to music, it does it's job more than just fine. Things that stand out in it is mostly it's ease of use, sound quality, and build quality. (The U2 version of the Ipod is exactly the same except for the red/black front case, and the band member signatures on the back). Crow.
