It really looks like it was a floor model or a well cared for used office chair that was liquidated. I was ready to be disappointed based on other reviews, but I am pleasantly surprised at the opportunity to buy this chair at half retail. I think the negative reviews are largely due to people wanting an Aeron chair (a very popular product) at a steal—but if it’s too good to be true, it probably isn’t.

Only a slight issue with stickiness (oily substance) on right chair arm, was able to clean off with petroleum jelly. No other issues noted.

I have had 2 back surgeries and require another this summer to fuse my cervical spine. I have had my old chair from human scale for over a decade and it was very used when I got it back then. I was overdue for an upgrade ! Thank you so much for this beautiful chair so I can continue to work at my office at work in comfort and style

Madison Seating did a great job packaging and protecting it so I don't blame them at all. I think FedEx handled it poorly. They were quick to respond and address my issue and when I decided to process a return they processed it within 10 minutes. The chair was in good quality otherwise, condition was as described, it's a great value, and the appearance was very good.
