I have used OBD scanners since OBD was introduced. The onboard diagnostics have simplified automotive repairs and I believe that is why hourly mechanic rates have gone through the roof. Mechanics are now seeing more and more time consuming repairs as everyone knows someone who will look at their car for them. Many times the basic scan tools are not capable of going past indicating a particular system. That is a good thing but has people guessing as to what subsystem is truly the faults origin. Is it a solenoid, valve, switch or wiring harness? This scan tool with its bi directional capabilities allows the tech to operate the systems and listen for these control items to function. I can also for-see the value in diagnosing a vehicle for a mechanic to have a better idea of the problem and saving you some money in the long run.

Nicely made doesn't do everything I'd like but it works
If I would've know that certain older vehicles aren't in its system and that you can't program a keyless fob with it I would've got a better one. I figured for 300 bucks it would do everything I need it to do but boy was I wrong

Those familiar with an Android mobile phone will especially like this product as it is based on that systems OS. Printer setup, wifi setup was painless and fast. Update downloads as well as firmware updates occurred quickly and easily. Overall, I'm happy with my purchase. This item works as advertised. Fast and relatively easy to operate. If you do automotive diagnostic work a bi-directional scanner is a MUST.
The product performs as advertised. I used the product immediately on two vehicles. On one vehicle it enabled me to pinpoint the location of an elusive air strut problem that I could not solve for days. It pointed to an electrical issue at one strut that enabled me to quickly solve the elusive problem with the bi-directional feature of the scanner. On a second vehicle it led me to code solutions that saved me considerable time. Once again a scanner that identifies trouble codes, is not comparable to a bi-directional scanner. This product enables one to track down problems, and solve quickly. Also it does not require you to be tethered to the OBD plug by wire; it is a bluetooth unit.The product performs as advertised. Excellent scanner at a great value cost
I have been researching code scanners for home DIY mechanic. I have used alot of different ones in the past but with advancement in auto technology the cheap models wont cover everything needed. This unit is simple to operate and has many features I have not yet explored. From first use it found 14 low volt codes stored in my cars computer causing the car to not perform and sending incorrect data to the cars ECU. Without this scanner I would have been stuck paying high diagnostic fees at a garage to tract all the code issues. This unit resolved them all in about 10 minutes and the car runs great again.
