I used this as a replacement on my Salsa Fargo commuter/touring/gravel bike. I had the previous generation XT BB which worked fine and lasted quite a while. This one is lighter and uses needle bearings instead of ball bearings and should last longer than the old one. I am using it with an XT 770 crankset, no compatibility issues.

Shimano As Usual
Shimano quality. Everything they do is acceptable at it's very least. This BB screws right in and they even include a plastic installation tool. Like all sealed bearings the installed cranks don't spin forever with a shove as the old open bearings did, But the power lost to the seals is nothing compared to the actual power absorbed by the bike in motion.
