Based on the side-scrolling brawler that first came to North America in 1991, 2006's Streetwise features 3D graphics and interactive environments. As in past releases, this game's story involves the Travers brothers, Kyle and Cody. When Cody is kidnapped by an upstart rival gang, Kyle becomes a one-man rescue squad, with powerful punches and kicks his most useful tool. Yet while Kyle's street-fighting prowess may be legendary among his friends and rivals, he'll have to earn respect in the new gang's territory in order to make his way to the final showdown with his brother's captors.

Lame and disappointing
Capcom's original arcade brawler will be forever remembered as the game to spawn dozens upon dozens of beat 'em up clones that have plagued arcades and consoles for years. With Final Fight: Streetwise, Capcom attempts to revive the long dormant series in full on 3-D street fighting. Playing as Kyle, brother to original FF character Cody, you are on a mission to find your missing brother and you'll take on plenty of enemies as you storm Metro City. The first thing that kills Final Fight: Streetwise is that the beat 'em up genre has become such a trite and generic genre of gaming that even the originator of the genre can't introduce anything fresh to seperate it from hte long list of trite pretenders. Add to this the amount of bugs throughout the game, cumbersome controls, and choppy ... Once you beat the game, you'll be rewarded with having unlocked the original arcade Final Fight to play, but that alone isn't worth the asking price for this, and besides, it's already available on the excellent Capcom Classics Collection which is at a cheaper price. Final Fight: Streetwise may be worth a look for fans of the classic game or fans of beat 'em up's, but both parties would be much better off with Rockstar's the Warriors game, which is a very good beat 'em up that throws in some innovative elements, and it's a game that you'd actually want to play again.

Boring and frustrating
They ignored all the best parts of Final Fight and made this boring 3d walker. You walk around aimlessly trying to find where you are meant to go. You have to sit through boring and poor quality cut scenes on the way while occasionally fighting some random but sparse guys on the street. You can go for 20 minutes or more with nobody to fight and with no idea where to walk. The controls are terrible. Clumsy analog controls make a bad experience that bit worse. Disappointing! They could have done better.
Well I liked all of the final Fight series so far. I thought this one would be better. We the graphics is great but the play sucks. They could have done better with the game play.
