About this product

Product Information

Ten thousand years ago, humans and fairies fought a great battle. When the fairies realized they'd never win, they moved their civilization underground and hid. All the families agreed, except the demons. The demons planned to lift themselves out of time until they were ready to wage war on the humans once more. But the spell went wrong, and they were catapulted into Limbo. Now the spell's deterioration is accelerating and the demon materializations are erupting. Even the fairy scientists cannot predict the next one.But someone can. Artemis Fowl, teenage criminal mastermind, has solved temporal equations that no human can. So when a confused and frightened demon pops up in a Sicilian theatre, Artemis is there to meet him. Unfortunately, a second mysterious party has also solved the equations and has managed to abduct the demon.Once again, Artemis will pair up with his old comrade Captain Holly Short, to track down the missing demon, before the spell dissolves completely and the lost demon colony returns violently to Earth.

  • Good Title, gives good discrpition

I bought the lost colony because I have read all the other Artemis Fowl books and have loved every one of them. The lost colony gives the reader a new look at the Artemis Fowl series. It is by far my favorite book of the series. It introduces a new species of the fairy world and provides a great story line. The lost colony expands the many branches that Eion Colfer could take the Artemis Fowl series. The sky is the limit after reading the lost colony. There was really nothing I disliked about the book. It was a very good read.

  • Artemis Fowl--continued...and the best yet!!

Colfer has a way with words, and with finding challenges for Artemis to overcome. If this was a TV show or movie, you'd be on the edge of your seat for 99% of it. The last chapter is a bit of a surprise...but still an excellent way to finish the novel. Artemis Fowl learns that he's not alone in the quest for knowledge and being the smartest person on the planet. He also finds out that there are things about the magical beings that he doesn't know-including a new "species." But leave it to Artemis to save the day when someone else is out to destroy it. I've read all of the Artemis Fowl series (from beginning to end), and this is by far the best of the series. There are new characters to love (and love to hate), there's the constant plot twists. Fast paced tempo, but not so fast that ...

  • The Lost Colony -newest Artemis Fowl

While this wasn't my favorite Artemis Fowl book, it had it's moments. I like how it's changing and there are new character introduced that open the way for more books in the future. Arty having a girlfriend? Interesting thought. I especially loved the twist at the end, that I really didn't see coming.

  • Now Artemis has another Rival-- Watch Out!

Once again, the family wrestled over who was going to read the book first! Bringing in yet another of the 'fairy' types, now that readers have met centaurs, fairies, imps, dwarves and goblins,.. this time it is demons. Although this one is a demon who doesn't want to be one! Suspense, intrigue and plenty of minor magic to keep even reluctant readers flipping the pages! We give this one a thumbs UP.

  • GREAT

Shows morality to age specific group.
