The chair itself is just fine. If you want SteelCase chair no matter what and for a fraction of the price of a new one - it's a good choice. I have several different SteelCase chairs at the institution I attend, which is why I also chose it as my main chair for the home office.
It's comfortable, sturdy, and has A LOT of adjustments - lumbar support firmness, height, seat position (front/back seat depth), the upper back force, and backstop.
The chair is refurbished for sure.

Seller advertised NEW open box and I spend $900 on the chair that arrived all used and damaged with pet hair all over the chair. The chair was a birthday gift and it was so embarrassing. I have sent 14 emails to seller and they kept procrastinating and asking me to resend email with all the details claiming that they cant see previous ebay conversations. Once 30 days passed they hide behind return policy and refuse to issue adjustment that they promised. STAY AWAY FROM THIS SELLER

This is the real deal. The shipment was prompt, and my chair arrived in great condition. The assembling was the easiest I had to do with any furniture, ever. The chair is sturdy, with all functionality working perfectly. There was one cosmetic defect but it didn't affect the use. For this price tag I cannot be more satisfied with my purchase. I am aware of the negative reviews of this seller when I did my research prior to my purchase, but this is not my experience at all.

I ordered the Steelcase Leap V2 chair, and that's what I received. The box it came in was a bit damaged, but the chair itself was fine and looks to be brand new. I have no complaints.
