"Hobson's Choice," A Classic Character Study Performed by the Best Actors of the Time
Timeless! Detailed! Engaging from start to finish. If you have not seen this film, you will be memorized. Set in the early in the 1900's or late 1800's, it is a story about the liberation of Hobson's oldest daughter. She was the focal point of the movie with everything revolving around her liberation. One never tires of the liberation theme, as important and relevant today as it was a hundred years ago. A must see. Definitely a 5 out of a 5-star ratingTimeless! Detailed! Great experience.
Excellent South Korean presentation. Since it provides English subs this makes it superior to Criterion's, which has none (!?). Unless you can unravel some of the Lancashire dialect this South Korean presentation is the only way to go. The South Koreans, in my opinion, are now producing some nice copies. And it is hard to beat the price, also.

This is a truly wonderful movie, with a great story line, superb acting & excellent characters - we have now enjoyed it several times since purchasing the DVD & will be viewing again soon. Rather than elaborate, we suggest you buy, to judge it for yourself - if you like old British films, you won't be disappointed.
