The ability to watch my D-Link Security Cameras via my television set "Did Not Work!"

When purchasing the D-link MovieNite DSM-310 Digital HD Media Streamer forget about your expectations of being able to watch your D-Link Security Cameras; after making my purchase and discovering this feature didn't function, I googled it and found out everyone who has purchased this equipment is having the same problem, therefore I purchased a product that was advertised as if everything functioned, and the reason I purchased it didn't!

  • Easy, fast, cheap HD streaming with D-Link!

Hence i live in Hungary, i can't use all the features - actually, this means Youtube service, only -, however, i ordered this product to easily stream Youtube.com videos and that works great! Unfortunetly, this D-link strreamer can't recognise foreign letters, however, at least i can pair it with my smart phone, so i can resolve this - and the slow search function ... - issue. I use a 30MBit LAN connection to stream Youtube videos, through a HDMI cable to my TV. I got no issues with the streaming, what i miss: remember last channel/playlist, recognise foreign letters, easier search (and i mean letter inputs here, the speed is ok). Yet i don't really know about the power amount.

  • All the basics at a very good price

What's the best blade for severing your relationship with your cable or satellite company? Why, streaming media, of course. I've bought several streaming media boxes in the past few months as I endeavor to tailor my viewing around over-the-air broadcast TV and Netflix. They all install basically the same--plug in the RCA or HDMI video cables, plug in the power cord, register the device on the home wireless network, and log in to Netflix. So what makes the D-link MovieNite DSM-310 stand out? Not much, other than it has both wireless and wired networking capabilities, HDMI and RCA video connections, true 1080p resolution (many other bargain-priced boxes are limited to 720p), and a simple and straightforward remote with quick access buttons for Netflix, Pandora, YouTube, and VuDu. Unlike ...

  • its ok for me for the youtube

i bought this item because i though that i can go online through any website on my big tv but it doesn't. you can watch youtube and netflix but if someone don't pay for netflix then you can not watch it. so finally, only you tube you can watch , that's all. if you don't watch youtube then do not buy it. i still watching the youtube on my tv through this unit sometimes, its ok for me to watch youtube only and i am looking for some unit that i can go online on big tv, maybe buy a smart tv with wifi built in so you can go online any website. and it give you long time to type the words when you watch youtube, you have to go up, down back and forth... when you type each letter that you want to watch, if it has all letter on remote control then better, you will disappoint when try to type each ...

  • Bye bye cable bill. This box + antenna, better than cable.

I just traded $107 a month cable bill for $7 Netflix and free digital broadcast tv. True HDTV on all 4 network channels for free, and HD movies for seven bucks a month. It's a good little box once I figured out how to set it up. I had a bit of frustration with it at first, since the enclosed quick start up instructions said setup would be automatic. The problem was with wireless use, it worked right away connected to an Ethernet wire. Eventually, I figured it out, to got to the D link website, and got manual wireless setup instructions, which then made setting up wireless easy and quick. Here's the secret, use the cursor to go up, to where the no connection icon is flashing on the screen, then go right, and click enter on the icon, to get into the manual set up menu. I'm slightly ...
