    Mixed emotions

    I have four of these drives. They are fast if given enough power. Inserted into my Startech usb 3.1 dock however is very disappointing. They do about 50mb/s for writing when my 4TB WD drives will do ~150 mb/s on outer tracks. If the Exos drive is connected to a usb 3.1 gen 2 interface, about 225/mb/s write speed on outer tracks, so they can be very fast. Inside my Synology NAS the clacking noise caused by seeking can be heard across the room. Very annoying. As for reliability, I can't say yet. They have less than 300 hours.
