My favorite kitchen device -- LOVE IT!
Hard boiled eggs come out perfect every time, as do poached eggs. Just follow the instructions. Turn it on, go about your business, and wait for the beep that it's done. You WILL hear it! Doesn't take up much room in the cabinet, cleans easily, got it for a good price. What's not to like? In years past I had a similar device that I also loved. That one has long since been discontinued but I remember that it cost a lot more, was a little larger, and the audible signal was nothing more than a click, so you had to stay close and listen. That one would poach four eggs at a time instead of two, which was nice, but now I never need more than two anyway. Go for it!Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

To Be Honest
In my opinion the eggs do not cook the same as doing it the old fashioned way, just boiling them in a pot of water on the stove, it's easy no doubt about it, but the egg white kind of stays watery, at least that's what happened in my case. I tried it about a half dozen + times, now it just sits there. It is well made, easy to use, but.....Maybe I'm doing something wrong, but I did exactly what the directions say. So she tried it and wrote back to me how well it worked and how cool and easy it was to use instead of doing the old boiling water method that was sometimes hit & miss and had egg explosions. it is small and compact and does not take up a lot of space on the counter, yet large enough to make a 2 egg omelette. It hard boils and makes omelettes very well. The best thing is the automatic shut off, so this is Safe enough for my kids to use and make a healthy breakfast before school with no worries of turning on and off a stove top. It really is fast and easy to make hard cooked eggs. I like to eat hard boiled eggs and this cooks them so mich quicker and easier than dragging out the pan, filling it with water and then cooking. Half the time, I remember them just as the water is boiling the water dry. With this appliance, they cook and the alarm goes off. A very LOUD alarm.
