About this product

Product Information

By producing the A300 - the first twin-jet, wide-body airliner in the world - the European Airbus consortium succeeded in joining the league of leading aircraft makers. The path was both rocky and exciting. Filled with detailed text, including historical, technological, and flight information, as well as colorful photos, this volume provides a fascinating insight into the history of commercial aviation. The first aircraft designed, built, and sold by Airbus, the A300 airliner debuted in 1974 with Air France and was in constant service throughout the world. Among the many past and present airlines flying the A300/310 are Air Hong Kong, Air France, Air India, American, China Airlines, Eastern, EgyptAir, FedEx, Finnair, Iberia, Korean Air, Pan Am, SAS, UPS, and many others. Though it is no longer produced, examples of the aircraft still fly today. AUTHOR: Wolfgang Borgmann's enthusiasm for aviation was passed on to him by his parents, who were active in the aviation field. In his early years he began building up an aviation historical collection that provides numerous rare photos and documents, as well as exciting background information for his books. Since April 2000, Borgmann has been active as an author and freelance aviation journalist. SELLING POINTS: . Debuting in 1974, the A300 was the first twin-jet, wide-body airliner in the world . Good supplier: Properly packed, on time, as described. Book well illustrated, but text very laboured. Would have benefited from a proper translation and a competent editor. Not worth the price.

Immaculate as described item, well packed and quick to ship. A 5* seller that I would happily use again. Have only managed a brief flick through the book and initial impressions are extremely positive. I have a number of publications on the OV-10 and this looks to surpass them all. A comprehensive guide to what, in my opinion, is a unique aviation solution to meet a complex military requirement. If you are interested in the OV-10 and its concept then I believe this is a book for you too :)

Book arrived quickly and as described. Well packaged as well. The book is a comprehensive look at the Challenger one and has some great in service photos of the tank up to the Gulf war in 1990 and beyond. A useful reference for modellers! Price was good as well!
