Hopefully if it went in the ocean the glue holding the plastic bottom and foam together would hold. some of the holes for the fins were drilled crooked and I had to scrape some styrofoam out for the screws to fit. The part of the leash that goes around your ankle has some foamy tape to protect your skin but it only goes half way. Also in the directions the pic on how to attach the loop is not that clear. I am only using the board for decoration.
