Stock plastic gears are trash
Destroyed my spur gear 10 minutes out of the box. That was a install error from factory. I replaced it with a steel spur gear anyways. Then about 1 hour after crashing and bashing the middle gear inside my transmission broke. So now I'm upgrading the internals to steel. Also bought HR aluminum case with steel gears so my stock transmission is now my backup with all steel gears and a 20t motor, my setup is a 55t with the aluminum transmission for crawling. Over all I'm very satisfied with Hot Racings products that I've bought for my axial wraith. So in my experience buy all metal gears for your transmission cause if your really using these sweet rc rigs your gonna sheer the plastic gears. Destroyed my spur gear 10 minutes out of the box. HR gears top notch quality and fitment
These gears are cut perfectly, everything fit perfect. Gears are simple, bought some Chinese gears previously, they are no where near the quality and fitment. HR racing gears are the way to go.

Quality gears
Very nicely machined and finished. A lot less noise than stock gears and a much thicker gear tooth cross section that stock too. Fit is perfect, great value for money.
