    great tires

    Very little road noise and ride like a dream! Had these originally then switched to a different brand due to lower price. The other brand lasted less than 20K MILES and had a much greater road noise. Stickin with Avids moving forward!!

    Poor performance and longevity

    I bought these tires one year ago and haven't put 5,000 miles on them and they are junk already. The rubber compound is soft and they are pitted and chewed up. The first set I purchased are looking great and have the same miles on them. Not sure what the difference is since I purchase them from the same seller at 2 different times.I would not recommend these tires if you drive anything but highway/paved roads. They are not good on gravel roads.

    good: handling, comfort, noise

    I replaced a mish-mash of tires on a 2012 RAV4. I had these mounted and balanced along with an alignment. The difference is amazing. These tires are very quiet, and make it feel like my car is reading my mind -- it corners like it's on trails. The ride is also much more comfortable and sedate. I suspect they will pay for themselves in fuel savings over their lifetime, but I've only had them mounted on the car 3 days, so we'll see. A VERY satisfied customer AM I.
