    A great replacement if an original seems too expensive

    These totally work for my ER4PT. I needed a replacement as the Etymotic original started dying after about three years, and Etymotic wanted around £50 ex postage just for a new cable. So I tried these and am very happy. They fall down on only two factors: they are not black like the original, and they have a fair bit more cable self noise. But it’s largely mitigated by the little clip.

    MY ER4's are back I am a happy camper

    I saw other guys complaining about microphonics, I am no audiophile so had to look it up I bought my ER4's in 2004 after dunking them in a cup of coffee letting them dry out for moths in the airing cupboard and using them again for years my cable finally gave in. Started looking for cable replacements some people charges as much as a new pair of Etymotics, I was ready to throw them out when I came across these cables by accident ( Not exactly easy to find) researching other expensive solutions bought three sets happy with them the microphonics is on par with OEM cables the cable is lighter it fits better inside my motorcycle helmet so I am a really happy camper thanks for giving me back my ER4's. I need to look mine up to remember what model they were still cant find the details has the ...

    Great cable for the proce

    I seriously can’t find anything bad about this cable. It sounds just like the stock cable, which mine was falling apart. Now my Etymotics have been restored to their former glory! The microphonics are much worse than the stock cable, however. Thankfully, the included shirt clip does a fine job of eliminating this. I recommend this cable, as it is incredibly well-constructed for something at its price point.

    Great product, quite a lot of microphonics but this is expected as the stock cable has the same issue. Sound is decent but cable is also very delicate

    Terrible Microphonics

    Unfortunately the microphonics generated by the cable are pretty bad. Very unfortunate as everything else is fine. 3/5 as is no worse than the original cables that suffered from same issue.
