Good carb
This seems to be a good carb. However, it does not quite fit the kx60 flawlessly. The choke and idle screw are on the same side and the choke pushes up against the air box which makes the choke unusable. If you don’t have the air box and just run a pod filter then this will work great. May work just fine on the kx65 and 85. Other than that, it’s a good carb.

I ordered this as a replacement carb for my son's Yamaha DT100. First off we noticed the carb was noticeably larger than stock in the throttle slide tube, but we tried it anyway. The next issue we realized was the air filter did not fit in the frame. So at this point we have a larger carb than stock and the air filter does not fit within the frame bars when attached to the new carb. We managed to get the air filter to fit but it wasn't pretty and rested at an angle tight against the frame rails. Once started we could not get it tuned properly. After a few hours of tuning by a small engine mechanic and no luck we gave up. Ordered a carb kit from the dealer for the original carb and runs perfect. I put this on a 1975 DT175B and it worked great! Didn't have any leaks or anything, that manifold boot didn't fit so I had to use the old one so keep that in mind but it still fit perfectly to the factory boot. Had to adjust idle and air screw a little but other then that the throttle cable went on easy and everything fit great and the bike ran great, I would definitely recommend for any older bike. Hope this answers questions for anyone doing the same thing,I put this on a 1975 DT175B and it worked great! I have 2 big wheel 200cc bikes. They sat for 4-5 years and I wanted to get them running for the kids. Instead of messing around with pulling the carbs apart and trying to clean-rebuild them I found these new ones. They fit perfectly and the bikes ran great. I later added two fuel shut-offs which they both needed. The only way to go!
