Appears to be good leather but super thin. The steel toe rubs on my big toe, unfortunately that was noticed after wearing them outside, felt fine at first but eventually created a hot spot..tread, arch, and heal felt pretty good. I usually wear 10.5 medium width, I went with 10 E and seemed to be right size other than with steel toe issue.
