Great games, on this title. Lots of two player games. A lot of some of the best RPG's that SEGA Genesis has ever released. Good "kids" games selection as well. I seen one review that stated the games are not "Full screen" There is an option to "stretch" the screen for a full widescreen experience. 16-bit has never looked this good. Highly recommended for any retro gamer.

The majority of the games are variations of character walks to the right.. use one button for attack, and one for jump. There are a few classics that follow this format and are somewhat worthwhile, such as Altered Beast and the Golden Axe games. There are also a couple tetris knock-offs, and more Sonic games than I need. I was hoping there'd be more variety. Also, the games are not full screen! There's an illustrated border for each game. If you have a small television, better sit close to the screen. If you want a better disk with lots of games, try Midway Arcade.. lots more variety on that one.. Defender, Joust, Gauntlet, Sinistar, Xenophobe, Total Carnage, and lots more.

This game delivers a lot to fans of the Sega Genesis and it gives you evolved HD graphics. Play a big list of over 40 exclusive Genesis titles, also you can play some of the games in co-op with your friends.Remember that there's no Online mode only same screen share. A great port and it is a Steal at $29.99. The bad thing is that it gets boring after a big while especially if you have already played them in a old Genesis like i did. In overall its a fun game to at least have in case some genesis fan friend comes over to play.
I love this game. It's very cheap, has about 40 Sega Master System and Sega Genesis games. The selection is very diverse, ranging from RPG's like the Phantasy Star Series to the classic Sonic the hedgehog and golden axe. Here's a complete list of the games: Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle Alien Storm Altered Beast Beyond Oasis Bonanza Bros. Columns Comix Zone Decap Attack Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine Dynamite Headdy ESWAT: City Under Siege Ecco the Dolphin Ecco: The Tides of Time Fatal Labyrinth Flicky Gain Ground Golden Axe Golden Axe II Golden Axe III Kid Chameleon Phantasy Star II Phantasy Star III: Generations of Doom Phantasy Star IV: The End of the Millennium Ristar Shining Force Shining Force II: Ancient Sealing Shining in the Darkness Shinobi III: Return of the Ninja Master Sonic & Knuckles Sonic 3D Blast Sonic Spinball Sonic the Hedgehog Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Streets of Rage Streets of Rage 2 Streets of Rage 3 Super Thunder Blade Vectorman Vectorman 2 Alien Syndrome (Arcade) Altered Beast (Arcade) Congo Bongo (Arcade) Fantasy Zone (Arcade) Golden Axe Warrior (Sega Master System) Phantasy Star (Sega Master System) Shinobi (Arcade) Space Harrier (Arcade) Zaxxon (Arcade) The only real complaint I have about the game selection is that all the games included are made by Sega. no 3rd party games made it into the game (If they were even considered). This isn't a bad thing, don't get me wrong, but I think that 3rd party games would have improved the perfection of this collection. I would recommend this game to anyone who is a Sega Genesis fan or anyone who still plays 2D games, and I would definitely recommend this game for kids. For about $30 new, this game is a steal.Read full review
This game has some of the greatest Sega Genesis games of all time. It has all the classics that I remember playing when I was a kid, and I still enjoy them just as much as back then. The Xbox 360 version is great because, like an emulator, you can you save states to save the game wherever and whenever you want in a game, which makes some of those old games less frustrating sometimes, because you don't have to start over all the way at the beginning of the game when you die or lose a continue. The only problem I have with the game is that it doesn't have updated graphics like some Xbox Live Arcade games, but they do look a lot better in progressive scan. And secondly and more importantly, there is no Xbox Live support. So you can't play multiplayer games over LIVE with a friend who also owns this game. It does have mutliplayer support, but only on a single console, and only up to 2 people. Overall I would give the game a 9/10, and it includes some of the best Genesis games of the time, so for $30 brand new, you can't go wrong.Read full review
