Petite and for delicate fishing only
Great piece of kit that is incredibly small and light. Petite! Perfect for lightweight quiver tipping for dace, roach and small chub with very lightweight rods to help the balance. Might also be good for small commercial fishing. Anyway, max 10ft rod length otherwise balance will be off. Other problems are only one spool. Baitrunner mechanism is perfect with quarter of a turn pick-up. Line lay is awesome but up to 8lbs max (0.24mm) - anything more is too much for this dinky little reel. Reel run is reasonably smooth and the bail arm closure is delightful as per Okuma standards. Great fun but only for lightweight fishing.Great piece of kit that is incredibly small and light. Petite! Excellent inexpensive baitrunner reel
I have my Avengers in two sizes 1) 30, and 2) 65. (Smooth baitrunner is a must, and are great on both!) First is for not-that-long distances, big one is for distance. For the first one, important features are weight, casting of light weight bait and spooling. For the big one, a distance comes in first place with sturdiness and power following close. All those features are implemented very well! Will buy another small one soon. Of course, I have couple other reels. Like Shimano Baitruner D, and it is better. But also 3+ time more expensive!
