I tampered with the product earlier today with three types of games: a fighting game (Tekken Advance), a platformer (Sonic Advance 2), and an RPG (Pokémon Sapphire) I gotta say, it runs pretty much smoothly. No hiccups from age, no distorted sound quality from an old speaker -- every bit of it works great on the simple front. This unit in particular seems perfectly suited for RPGs and fighting games to a lesser extent. It might just be my vision but quicker paced platformers like Sonic have my dazed with its small screen size. The cosmetic damage is something unavoidable in its market, want anything pristine and it'll definitely cost you. Luckily the unit I bought has some "shades of experience" but no major screen scratches or fractures plastic to hinder my immersion. I absolutely love the fluidity of the D-Pad and face buttons, they practically feel brand new! My only cons are due to the shoulder buttons: they hit the contacts fine but it definitely needs checked out. The leftmost feels gunked up, and while it does make suitable contact, it sponges and takes a second to reassume its natural position. The R button hits and presses fine -- though it makes quite the sharp popping noise at certain angles or when pressed on in certain spots. All in all, a 4/5 star product in a market that usually holds a high numbers of 2's and even more 1's. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this seller for these products alone! Read full review

I find that this gameboy is ideal in the sense that is IS extraordinarily small. As far as graphics is concerned you already know what your buying, it is old technology. Despite that I am more satisfied playing with this gameboy then playing with the DS. The games have much more depth and content. I can become absorbed in the games I play on this system. There are great games bringing back nostalgic memories of fantastic adventures that the nintendo DS never did for me. Yet there is still a downside to this device. Its main focus and greatest strength is also its flaw. I find it uncomfortable to handle the device while playing certain games that require a certain coordination it has been uncomfortable in some cases because of the L and R buttons. For example, when I play metroid fusion holding down the L button to shoot my gun at an angle has proved difficult and my hand can end up cramping up from longer play sessions of doing this. Aside from that I am still glad i bought this GBA micro.it fits perfectly in any pocket. is light enough that i can put it away and forget about it until i remember i want to play with it again all in all i would recommend this device to anyone who enjoys games on the go or just enjoys gaming in generalRead full review
I bought this item just for occasional use. I generally use it on my Lunch break or during my slow hours at work. It's small enough to keep in my purse and light enough to carry around. It's great for games like tretris or I also enjoy playing Mr. Driller. If your looking for quality, I would recommend a Nintendo DS. Not only can it play the same games as the Game Boy Micro/Game Boy, but it also has a great selection of is own games which are more interactive and displays a two screen play. All and all, the Game Boy Micro is a good system to just carry with you for those short game playing times.
Looking for a portable gaming system that you can play when you have that bit of spare time i.e waiting for your girlfriend to get ready for a night out? Waiting for public or unreliable private transport? Got some spare time at work? Well look no further than the Nintendo Gameboy Micro. The Micro is exactly what it says on the Tin! It offers sleek, portable (really! - measuring 2" by 4") on the go. Obviously designed for the casual image concious gamer as it also boasts a interchangeable faceplate depending on your mood you can strap up your Micro to let it show! Its graphical capabilites are not all that great when compared with other handhelds in the market to date, such as the DS Lite or PSP. But then with its library of over 700+ games (largest library compared to DS/PSP), there is something for everyone. Its movies in games are often just complex sprites instead of CGI but even then it just looks so impressive on a 2" backlit screen. The handling of the Micro is second to none to the new DS Lite whereas the PSP just flops behind. Don't get me wrong the PSP however is some serious piece of kit. The overall image of this portable is very chic! and I do believe for the more serious gamers, the micro is not worth gettin excited about. I have recently ordered a Micro (Black) from an ebay auction in America and the reason why I went over seas to get this one - due to the fact that Nintendo has started to lauch different colour schemes over here in the U.K and the black one is no available ;( Its all good!Read full review
I used to have a Gameboy Advanced years ago and I decided on the Micro because of the size. I'm extremely satisfied with this Gameboy. I was worried the that screen would be too small but that is not the case. This is definitely my preferred Gameboy Advance. Just to clear some things up for people between the Micro and other Gameboy Advance consoles. - The face plates are changeable. - Has a standard 3.5mm headphone jack. - Brightness and volume are adjustable. - Does not use a standard link cable. - Can only connect to another micro with the micro link cable (unless you can get your hands on the rare converter cable) - Cannot use standard wireless adapter, but there is a micro one available. - Does not play Gameboy or Gameboy Color games. Even though compatibility is low (reason for a 3 star on ease of use) this is still a nice console due to its portability and convenience, and it's perfect if you plan on playing with someone else that has a Micro. I don't recommend the Micro though if you are planning on playing with other people who have an SP or the standard Advance, you will have to find the converter cable and get one for every console you wanted to connect to.Read full review
