    Made the engine run much smoother.

    They were genuine Motorcraft spark plugs. I inspected them with a magnifier, and they looked fine. I measured the resistance of each one and that also was good. I checked the gap; it was the gap they were supposed to be set for by the part number, but not the right gap for my GF's car. This is normal, Ford changed up a few things and mostly sells these for their trucks, which use a smaller gap. The box says not to adjust the gap, but if you need to, you need to. I used a proper gapping tool - be very careful if you adjust the gap - it's easy to damage the plugs. That's why they say not to adjust. Anyway, after adjusting the gap to spec for GF's Taurus, I changed the plugs. Old ones had about 80,000 miles on them. Ford manual says they should go about 100,000 and the old ones were ...

    Ecoboost? These are your plugs.

    I believe these are the 3rd or 4th revision of plugs for the ecoboost engines from ford. My 2012 Taurus SHO had a little hesitation and was runnin' a lil' rough. After a new set of plugs, gapped at .35 the car runs much smoother.
