      You get what you pay for

      These are cheap and will work for some generic repairs, but the lack of quality is evident. The plastic covers are cheap and don’t secure the connectors very well. More importantly, the bands separating each contact are not consistent in width, and they are wider than typical jacks found on factory products you’d want to repair. Because of this, most female TRRS jacks don’t connect with these correctly, and the microphone ring on the connector doesn’t make contact with the female jack contact, rendering the microphone on your device unusable in many applications. Out of the 8 I ordered, only 2 had appropriately separated rings for the mic to work. The attached photo shows a higher quality jack on the left vs. one from this listing on the right that caused microphone issues due to this. I ...
