    Perfect!

    I love this! I used to watch it on HBO and was not happy when it ended. So glad to get back to the girls. It does seem something's missing.....THE BEGINNING TUNE!!To me it does take away from the show, but that's me. It set the stage for each episode.Thanks so much.

    Pure Entertainment / Incredibly Amazing Show

    The L Word has got to be the best show out there for women, even if you are not a lesbian. It's a breakthrough step for Lesbians and television because it's the only show on television based primarily on the lives of lesbians, bisexuals and transexual people. It's funny, dramatic, has the ability to make you laugh out loud and feel the urge to cry at times. It's very moving and entertaining. I think its an asset to Showtime and should be for everyone who watches it or owns it. I decided to buy it because I do not have Showtime at home, and the reviews about this show are so incredible that I would be a fool not to have bought the season for myself. I have recently purchased both the 2nd and 3rd seasons on DVD as well. I'm very proud of this show, and the cast is simply amazing. Watch out ...

    Close To The Truth!

    Is that how we Lesbians really live..well duh! We love, we hate, we fight, we make up and make love we do it all..gasp..we are just like straight couples..L Word is filled with comedy, drama, sex and yes even at times suspense!! Of course my fav character is Shane..who doesn't love Shane?? the thing I love about this show is it's honest, it's in your face and fun..Straight couples with open minds will love this show..Guys with weird fetishes will love this show..and most of all Gays and Lesbians will love this show..only ones who should not be exposed to this show are the kiddies..send them to bed, also lock up your dvd sets when you are away..L Word is filled with sex..sex sex and more sex!! Are you intrigued yet?? good go out and get it quick!!

    The L Word - First Season Yeah!

    The L Word "Showtime's frank and vibrant television drama THE L WORD details the personal and professional exploits of a group of lesbian and bisexual women in the hip West Hollywood section of Los Angeles. Writer Jenny (Mia Kirshner) is fresh out of college and has just moved to the city to be with her swim coach boyfriend Tim (Eric Mabius). Their neighbors, Bette (Jennifer Beals) and Tina (Laurel Holloman), are a lesbian couple looking for a sperm donor so they can become parents. Among their friends are closeted tennis player Dana (Erin Daniels), kooky bisexual Alice (Leisha Haley), promiscuous Joan Jett-lookalike Shane (Katherine Moennig), and Bette's recovering alcoholic half-sister Kit (Pam Grier).     Starts a corny and instructive, butdevelops quickly.

    The first few episodes seem like an introduction to homos with explanations of how gays do it and what we call it. I suppose it was to gently expose the virgin eyes of the average American to experiences of big city lesbians. Yes, these women are enticing and gorgeous-so easy to watch. More important are their stories, obstacles, heartaches, loves and triumphs. They are more beautiful and successful than 95% of the people I have ever known, but I can relate to their struggles. Great casting, writing, acting and direction. Also, the music gets great with Leonard Cohen and Rufus Wainwright on the soundtrack.
