Unfortunately, it doesn't grip the mag at all. The mag slips out if the holster is tilted. I read the seller's description again and this seems to be a selling point. My mistake for missing it. Anyway, I don't think I'll use it for actual carry unless I add some sort of retention system to it like a small bungee.
