Not as easy to use as others
I've had some of these through-wire ends from another manufacturer before. For these, I'm having a devil of a time pushing the Cat5e strands through, especially for the middle-most wires (blue and blue-white, in a B-style configuration). While that has happened, I still can crimp down and get proper connectivity out of it, so it's not like it's non-functional. It's just not as easy to use as others I've had. Now I'm at a point where I'm wondering if I can lubricate the thing or somehow clean up the holes myself a bit in order to make it easier to use, and whether that would affect connectivity. But as they are, they're hard to use.I've had some of these through-wire ends from another manufacturer before. Easily FIX Your Internet Cables!
My eyes aren't working the way they did years ago, so when I found these 'feed-through' Cat5e modular fittings I bought them. It use to take me an hour or more to properly insert the tiny wires into other fittings. These have holes drilled all of the way through making simple, easy and fast. I can create extensions and repair cables ends in as little as 5 minutes. What a life saver. Knowing I had one cable with a break in it, obtaining only 1Mbps or less, I cut it, used one of these ends, plugged it into my router and to my surprise, I am now streaming along with 10Mbps and more on a regular basis.
