These are a little softer than original IBM soft rim caps, but seem just as usable as far as I can tell. There is one catch: they're actually about 1 mm shorter than the IBM ones! I'm not sure how these will fit in the classic keyboards of the T410 or R400 they're advertised for, but the shorter height makes them perfect for my T440p's island keyboard. They're only a small fraction of a millimeter taller than the "soft dome" caps it came with and don't seem any more prone to marking the screen. The IBM ones stick up higher than the spacebar and do tend to mark the screen (as well as being high enough to feel a little awkward to use in comparison). Note that there are THREE sizes of TrackPoint caps. The tallest ones for the classic keyboards, like IBM soft rim, the tallest soft dome, or classic dome / cat's tongue. Then there's the ones for the first style of island keyboards that have a 3x3 mm peg when you pull off the cap -- the Lenovo "soft dome" with a shorter height and a couple indents along the shaft fit this; as do these off-brand soft rims! And then there's the newest line of "slim" island style keyboards that have a smaller peg and need an even shorter cap. The picture shows this product (left), an original IBM one (center), both upside down because that's the best shot I can get showing something of the height difference, and the classic dome (right).Read full review

Great price, but the rubber is too soft and doesn't sit well. Won't be using them.
