The curvature of 7.62x39, the same that makes the AK magazine so curved, makes developing a cardboard insert difficult. The loaded stripper clip inserts with difficulty because of this curvature. When you insert a loaded stripper clip, the points of the first bullets pokes through the cardboard. It is hard to get the stripper clip out because the curvature. Both putting loaded stripper clips in and taking them out of the cardboard insert causes bullets to fall off the stripper clip. With all that said, the cardboard does silence the stripper clips and does work. It just doesn't work very well due to no fault of the manufacturer.

Never knew about these till lately. Nice to preload all the stripper clips and put in these before heading to the range. Write on the box ammo type, grain, etc. Nice touch. Very easy and compact to carry. Great SKS companion.

I your going to be storing your ammo for the long term i can see them being useful. The pack I got fit them ok with the yugo clips I have, but they still where a little on the loose side. the clips have a tendency to slide out a bit mine where sliding out about an inch.

Good product but not what I was hoping for the boxes are a touch too small so I found myself forcing the clips in therefore losing rounds off the clips (even depicted in the picture it’s small) I feel thats a fault of my own for not looking into it more. Otherwise great quality, great value and quick shipping
