Lead soldering is cheap and easy. However, it is not environmental friendly. For soldering electrical connections, the use of silver is all ways better. The unfortunate downside is a much higher price. If you need to do some bigger soldering work, which hopefully does not involve stable electrical connections, this cheap lead soldering might be the right choice for you.

Bought this as a replacement for the tin i bought previous century :) (yes i know, but i just had a lot of that old stuff) bought several new rolls of tin , and to my surprise most of them don't even melt properly with my gear (weller LT) , i also have another iron, which is adjustable , and at 350 this roll of tin works okay-ish , but not as good as my old stuff, All solderjoints are dull, not shiny like i used to have. I really don't wanna state this is bad stuff , but it just isn't the same as i used to have. If that is caused by the composition or the different rosin/flux core i don't know. I have 4 rolls tested from diferent suppliers and upto now none of them are okay for me.

It should last a long time. A fair price. It's getting hard to find a store that sells it any more
