Nicely made kayak racks with just two flaws, one minor.... Minor Flaw: BELIEVE the reviews that tell you to throw away the screws that come with it and use some quality screws. I didn't and broke off 2 that I couldn't get backed out. Trying to back them out with pliers just showed how soft they really are... they just kept falling apart. Slightly More Major Flaw (for me): The machine screw that holds the two pieces together rests against the bottom of the kayaks when they sit in the J racks. (see picture) This is not good because it will eventually deform the hull and create a weak spot. I will place a strip of plumbing pipe insulation over the racks to pad the back side of the racks to eliminate this flaw. All in All: Good Product, Great Price. This Product does exactly what it was designed to do with no notable design, manufacturing or functionality flaws that I can tag to it. However, I will not put down the product but somehow think for the price it could be better, I. e. stainless steel. I am not trying to steer away potential RAD Sportz buyers, but in hindsight, I think if I looked harder I may have found a lower priced deal or cheaper comparable product.

The only issue I have with this concerns the width of the mounting bracket. If mounted in wood it is really hard to get enough room for the sheetrock screws. I was able to stack a couple of wood blocks to exposed studs. Worked for me.
