If you ever wanted a H-250 ( military radio) looking handset for you amatuer or personal radio HT this is the ticket. Feels and looks very similar to the real deal except the cord which is not quite as heavy as the real military h-250. These are prewired in whatever flavor you want, I got the "kenwood" pattern which is the same as most baofeng, wouxun etc HTs and works fine on my Wouxun KG-UVD1P and TYT MD-390. Ar real H-250 could probably be converted but they have strange Impedance values for the mic element which may or may not work well for you etc plus the real .mil ones are completely sealed and difficult to re-work. If you are air-soft-ing or re-enacting but dont want to lug around a real PRC-77 or just want a H250 replica for your Ham HT I dont think you will be disappointed. Just make sure you get the correct plug for whatever radio brand you have.Read full review

Would be nice if the mouth piece folded up like the original. Also, an LED indicator would be a benefit in a noisy area when the handset is not held close to the ear. Also, an auxiliary port for the speaker would be of a benefit as well. These things aside, it is a hand microphone. Will allow some discretion in a buy environment. As with all microphones the cord could be longer. Audio quality seems to be good. It is light weight and the clip on the back seems to be sturdy. I think it will earn it's place in my kit.

Better quality than a lot of speakermikes, not as heavy as military H-250, and a good price.
