Must have display for your projects

Awesome little displays!

Great screen for arduino
This is a great little screen that I used with an arduino Uno. Powers directly from the board. Initially had a problem with the screen only showing every other line but after changing from 128x32 to 128x64 in the SSD1306-library from Adafruit it works perfectly.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Works as expected
Compatible with Adafruit_SSD1306 library for arduino. Only change was to change 0x3D to 0x3C in example app. You need to find the SCL and SDA pins for your particullar arduino model and connect it accordingly. Very bright and crisp. I like it.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Hint to make this work
The part shipped has an address on the back of 0x78 with an option of 0x7A. The recommended Adafruit libraries have 0x3D as a default. I spent quite a few hours trying to make the system work with these without luck. After much experimentation and sheer bumbling about, I found that the I2C address of 0x3C will work, at least with the one that I have. Without an oscilloscope, I would have never found the address. This piece of info was listed nowhere!!! Since it's now working, it's a nice little monochrome display that seems to work well with the Adafruit libraries. Just make sure change the default address, not to what is on the back of the display, but to 0x3C. Hopefully yours will work with this address as well. -kbellcoVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

For everyone that have resolution problems, the solution is to change the code from Adafruit_SSD1306.h file at arduino library folder. The display works great after comment the #define SSD1306_128_32 and uncomment #define SSD1306_128_64 lines.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

It is a good screen to your projects
It is a good quality screen. Very ease to use, using Adafruit libraries. (Adafruit_SSD1306-master and Adafruit-GFX-Library-master) Only one observation: The screen I received is only a 128x32 screen instead of the listed 128x64. Update: The screen is OK.
