I bought this book for a graphic novels as literature class. personally i was not compelled to finish this book after about 3/4 of the way through, but a few of my classmates really enjoyed it. the book follows a "stream of conscience" type of time line which makes following the plot very difficult if you are not aware of the fact before hand. there are MANY sections that seem to me to be utterly pointless (although my teacher says that Chris Ware, the author, is a creative/designing genius my college level reading and analyzing skills must have been surpassed in the way of Ware's story telling...). I was also confused because the story goes between the lives of 3 different men in 3 different time lines, whereas i was made to believe that it was 3 different stories of 1 man in fantasy time lines. so, overall i found the book to be slightly interested, hard to follow, and i would not recommend reading it.Read full review
