Selling with the eBay app

The eBay mobile app makes it easy to create, edit, and monitor your listings. You can also relist items and provide tracking information on the go. 

The eBay app is available for both Android and iOS, so you can respond quickly to questions from bidders or buyers. To download the app for your device, select from:

How to create listings

To create a listing in the app, go to the Selling page and select List an item. Beyond the features you would find on your laptop or desktop, you’ll find some useful shortcuts:

  • Scan your item’s barcode to automatically add product details automatically from our catalog
  • Snap photos and add them directly to your listing

Listings will sync across your devices, so you can start a listing on the app and finish it on your laptop or desktop, or vice versa.

Tip
We regularly update and improve our app, so keep an eye on the Google Play Store or iOS App Store to make sure you’re using the most current version.

How to get notifications

You can turn on notifications to stay up to date with your listings and other eBay activities by doing the following:

iOS devices

  1. Go to Settings and select eBay in Notifications.
  2. In Allow notifications, choose On.
  3. Open the eBay app and go to Settings in My eBay.
  4. In Notifications, choose which notifications you’d like to receive.

Android devices

  1. Go to Settings and select eBay in Notifications.
  2. In Allow notifications, choose On.
  3. Open the eBay app, and select the dropdown in the top left corner.
  4. Go to Notifications in Settings, and choose which notifications you’d like to receive.

Troubleshooting on the eBay app

If you run into a problem using the eBay app, try the following:

  • Can’t launch the app: Check for updates in the app store and download the latest version. If you already have the latest version but can’t launch it, try uninstalling the app and then reinstalling. You won’t lose any of your account information if you reinstall the app; you’ll see all of your information when you sign in
  • Photos won’t upload: Try rebooting your mobile device. If that doesn’t solve the issue, uninstall and then reinstall the app
  • Can’t log in with your eBay username or password: Double-check that your information is entered correctly. Autofill and autocorrect can sometimes enter things you weren’t intending
  • You’re a managed payments seller and your listing can’t be created: Check your accepted payment options. Make sure only managed payment options are selected in your listing

You can create listings quickly and easily with the eBay app—simply fill out the listing form on the Selling page.
