Updating your checking account details for managed payments

As a managed payments seller, the checking account linked to your eBay account needs to be up to date so you can receive payouts. If it’s not, or if you want to receive payouts to a different account, you'll need to update your checking account details from the Payments tab in Seller Hub, or from Payments in My eBay.

Read our most popular questions and answers about how eBay manages payments. You’ll also get more information in our full article below.

How do I register?

All eBay sellers will receive an email invitation to register for eBay to manage their payments. When you receive your invitation, follow the link in the email to start your registration. When registering, you’ll need to provide information so we can verify your identity, checking account details, and business details if you’re a business seller.

Why didn’t I receive my payout?

Once eBay initiates your payout, it typically takes your bank 1-3 business days to settle the funds into your checking account.

If you see Returned or Blocked next to a payout in Seller Hub, the bank information we have for you may be incorrect, or you may need to provide additional verification information before we can initiate payouts to your account.

If we need more information to verify your details, we’ll notify you in My eBay messages and put an alert on your eBay account to let you know.

Payouts

We initiate payouts for your recent transactions either daily or weekly depending on the payout schedule you chose, and you'll receive the funds in your linked checking account.

Providing a bank statement

If you've provided us with checking account details, and we're unable to verify your account, you may need to send us a recent bank statement for the account you're trying to register. We need this documentation in order to verify your identity and business. If we need this additional information from you, we'll send you an email, as well as placing a notification in Seller Hub or My eBay, including instructions on how to send a copy of the statement to us.

You should make sure the bank statement you send to us:

  • Is for the account you’re trying to register
  • Is for an account that belongs to you and shows your first and last name
  • Is less than 12 months old
  • Shows at least the last 4 digits of your bank account number
    • If it's a credit union account, include the last 4 digits of the account number and not the member number
  • Shows the official letterhead of your bank

If you're not able to provide us with a bank statement, you can provide us with one of the below documents:

  • Voided check
  • Letter signed by a bank manager, including at least the last 4 digits of your bank account number
  • Printed form for a direct deposit

Tip
The image of your bank statement can be in JPEG, JPG, PDF, or PNG format. The maximum file size is 10 MB.

Once you’ve updated your details, we’ll verify your checking account, which can take up to 2 business days. Once your account is verified, we’ll send you a confirmation email, and you’ll start receiving your payouts in your new checking account.
