Manage your eBay Store

Once you've opened an eBay Store, you can begin to personalize your store to let buyers know more about your business and the products you sell.

You'll find all the tools for managing and customizing your eBay Store in Seller Hub - opens in new window or tab. You can organize your listings within custom store categories, select items to feature, and more. Find more about managing your store in the Seller Center - opens in new window or tab.

If you haven't opted in to Seller Hub, you can do so when you select Manage eBay Store below.

Add your store logo and billboard

Adding your logo and a billboard image can give your store a more professional finish. Keep in mind when choosing your billboard image that it should represent your brand and store.

Here's how to add or change your store logo:

  1. Select the Marketing tab in Seller Hub.
  2. Under Manage Brand, select Edit Store.
  3. Go to the Store Banner Image or Logo section and select Add Image.

Your logo size should be 300 x 300 pixels and less than 12MB.

To add a billboard image:

  1. Select the Marketing tab in Seller Hub.
  2. Under Manage Brand, select Edit Store.
  3. Go to the Billboard section and select Add Billboard Image.

For best results, use an image that's 1200 x 270 pixels and less than 12MB.

Add a description of your eBay Store

Let buyers know more about your business by including a short description about your brand or company and what you sell.

Here's how to add a description of your eBay Store:

  1. Select the Marketing tab in Seller Hub.
  2. Under Manage Brand, select Edit Store.
  3. Go to the About section and add a short description about your brand and products.

Your description will be shown when buyers search for your store on eBay, and also in search engine results.

Tip
If you need to take a break from your eBay Store, you can schedule some time away and choose whether you want to allow or pause item sales. Find out more in our Time Away help page.

Setting up featured listings

If you’d like to show specific items to your buyers, you can select up to 4 listings to feature on your store.

Here's how to select your featured listings:

  1. Select the Marketing tab in Seller Hub.
  2. Under Manage Brand, select Edit Store.
  3. Go to the Featured Items section.
  4. Select a tile to choose an item to feature.

Manage store categories

You can create up to 300 store categories to help organize your listings and display your items to buyers. You don't need to use the categories on the eBay site — you can create your own.

Here's how to create a category in your eBay Store:

  1. Select the Marketing tab in Seller Hub.
  2. Select Store Categories on the left-hand side.
  3. Select Add Categories to add up to 5 categories that best fit the items you're selling.
  4. Select Save.

You can also add subcategories to your categories by selecting Edit next to the categories on the Manage Store Categories page. However, you won't be able to create subcategories if your categories already contain listings.

If you'd like to delete or rename a category, you can do so by selecting Edit next to the category.

Change your eBay Store name

While you can change the name of your eBay Store in Seller Hub, we don't advise it because any marketing links or bookmarks created by your buyers will no longer work, and your store will also be ranked as a new site in some search engine results.

If you still want to change the name of your eBay Store, the new name can't be:

  • the username of another member on eBay, or be misleadingly similar to the username of another eBay member
  • identical or misleadingly similar to another company's name that's protected by trademark law
  • a name that contains the word “eBay,” or a name which is misleadingly similar to “eBay”

We take our role in protecting intellectual property very seriously. Before you rename your store, read our article on intellectual property rights and using eBay's intellectual property.

Change your eBay Store subscription

You can get lower fees and additional business tools by upgrading your store to a higher level. Or, if you currently have a monthly subscription, you can change your renewal cycle to a yearly subscription.

Here's how to change your Store subscription level:

  1. On your My Subscriptions - opens in new window or tab page, select Change subscription.
  2. On the Choose a Store Subscription page, find the eBay Store level you want to change to and choose Select and review.
  3. On the Review and Submit page, review your order and then select Submit order to confirm your subscription changes.

To change your eBay Store's renewal cycle:

  1. On your My Subscriptions - opens in new window or tab page, select Change subscription.
  2. On the Choose a Store Subscription page, you'll see your current subscription. Select Change to monthly if you want to go from yearly to monthly, or Change to yearly if you want to go from monthly to yearly.
  3. On the Review and Submit page, review the details and choose Submit order to confirm your eBay Store term changes.

Your subscription levels and change in terms are subject to the Terms of Service - opens in new window or tab you agreed to when you signed up for your eBay Store.

By customizing your eBay Store, you can give buyers a better idea of your brand's personality and the products you sell.
