Selling fees on eBay Live

When you sell on eBay Live, fees are deducted from each order before your earnings are available for payout. Your fees consist of a commission fee and a payment processing fee.*

eBay Live fees explained

There are 2 components to the fees:

The commission fee covers platform services, including stream support and selling tools, applications and features, etc. and is calculated as a percentage of the final sale price including shipping and tax.
The payment processing fees covers payment handling, transaction processing, per order fee and related services involved in completing a sale on eBay Live.

These fees are shown separately above to make eBay Live pricing more transparent and easier to compare with other live selling platforms.

The amount charged will be displayed as a combined final value fee.

We bundle these services into an all-in-one easy to manage fee as one amount. This fee is calculated as a percentage of the total amount of the sale, plus a per order fee.

The total amount of the sale includes the item price, any handling charges, any shipping costs collected from the buyer, sales tax, and any other applicable fees.

Transparent fees. Competitive rates.

With eBay Live, sellers in most categories*** pay a competitive 6% commission capped at $100 per item. Some live marketplaces may charge up to 8% commission and may not cap fees, making eBay Live a more cost-effective way to grow your business.

Example: how fees are calculated

If a seller sells an item with:

item price: $100
shipping: $10
tax: $8

The total amount of the sale is $118.

For an order with a single item in a category with a 6% commission fee, 2.9% processing fee and $0.30 per order fee, the fees would be as follows:

commission fee: $118 x 6% = $7.08
payment processing fee: $118 x 2.9% = $3.42 + $0.30 = $3.72
total fees: $10.80

Note:

Auction listing: If your item starts at $1 and sells for $20, fees are based on the $20 + shipping + tax.
Buy It Now listing: If you list an item for $50 and accept an offer of $45, fees are based on the accepted sale price of $45 + shipping + tax.
