About Jeep YJ
Jeff is building his dream, literally, from the wheels up. He bought a 1993 Jeep Wrangler YJ from a buddy of his and has slowly working his way through it, rebuilding. With its distinctive square headlights and visible windshield wipers, wider track and sporty track bars, Jeff feels that his Jeep YJ Islander handles better than its CJ predecessor does. He has ordered a lot of his parts and accessories from eBay and has found new and used parts that are just what he needs. Recently, Jeff found a great new black Jeep Wrangler YJ soft top with half-doors and removable soft plastic zip windows. Although many of the Jeep CJ parts are essentially interchangeable with Jeep YJ parts, Jeff goes for the actual YJ parts because he want the Islander to be perfect when it is done. He can just picture driving down the beach in its bright red paint job with the sunset graphic on the lower body and hood, five-spoke alloy wheels spinning wildly, radio blaring and the top down. What a party!
