About Frankenstein Bolts
Found within the pages of a novel by Mary Shelley, Frankenstein's monster was famously created as a result of an experiment to assemble and reanimate body parts of multiple people as one being. Today, people recreate their own versions of this creature, all of which feature the iconic Frankenstein bolts. Bolts on either side of the neck are used in pop culture to signify that the head is not attached naturally, and that this person is actually a Frankenstein-type creature. Within the vast inventory on eBay, there are many types of costume bolts to serve this purpose. Some of the bolts are oversized and great for more comical costumes, while others are realistic and may even include fake wound makeup to make the costume more sinister. Those who wear these costume bolts can play the part of Frankenstein's monster as Shelly had described, or they can have a little more fun with the costume and dress as Herman Munster from the satirical show "The Munsters," a character inspired by Shelly's monster. There are Frankenstein bolts available that can be attached using an adjustable neckpiece, suction cups, or an included adhesive.
