    Great value for an excellent machine even by today's standards

    I loved my Samsung Note 10.1 (circa 2014). But it could go only as high as Android 5.1, and it barely even ran that fast enough to be useful. I almost never buy the newest thing, mostly because the newest thing is always too expensive for me. So I decided to get a used Tab S4. Holy moly, what an upgrade! Especially if you bring it all the way up to Android 9 which I think is Pie. This S4 is like warp drive compared to my old Note 10.1. Switching apps is fast, web browsing is fast, playing Words with Friends is fast.. haha. The screen is excellent, as you'd expect from Samsung. I know some Samsung phones and/or tablets might have screen burn-in issues but this used one I got, as well as my Note 9 phone, do not seem to have that issue. My only single complaint about the S4 is the lack of place to store the stylus. I got a "leather" case which I like very much which has a pen holder, but my old Note 10.1 had a much smaller stylus that slipped into a port in the tablet. While it was smaller, I appreciated its dockability. However, the larger stylus that goes with the S4 is much easier to hold. I don't really play any games besides words with friends, so I can't really comment on it's graphics/video performance. All in all, the S4 is still an outstanding tablet even though it's a couple years old. If you're like me and don't want to pay top dollar for the newest thing, the S4 will satisfy you for at least couple years (my Note 10.1 gave me 5... haha).

    Very large and vivid screen and functions exactly like my android phone.

    I am not sure if this a review of the Tab S4 in general, or the one I received. I will assume it is the latter. This Tab S4 is much larger than I expected (or that ten inches would seem). The device is in much better shape than I expected too. It is essentially like new, except that the battery was nearly worn out. It was cheap for me to replace it, though it took much patience to get the solidly glued back removed without breaking it. The screen is startling bright and vivid. I love the fact that it is so much like my android phone. I attempted to use my wife's iPad several times which is like learning a new language. I can also put a sim card in and use cell service when wireless is not available (a big plus in Montana).

    A 2 year old Android tablet that is still powerful and beautiful to have

    This 10.5" Samsung Galaxy Tab S4 tablet weights only 1lb and was first released in August 2018. Samsung kept its OS up to date at One UI 2.1 Android 10 as of October 2020. The 2560x1600 Super AMOLED display driven by Adreno 540 graphics card supports 2160p UHD at 30fps and is sharp, clear, and pleasant to use. The Qualcomm Octa-core Snapdragon 835 2.35GHz CPU is plenty snappy. In my normal operations, watching a movie or playing a game, the 4 GB memory seemed sufficient and about 2/3rd of the 64GB SSD storage is still free. MicroSD is expandable to 400GB. The 7300mAh battery lasts 6-8 hours of game playing or movies, pretty good for a 2 year old unit. Overall, it's a great tablet to own for about $300 in 2020.

    Excellent Value & Great Tool!

    I have been truly impressed with this product. My old tablet was an LG V700, but it was so old that it was dying. After doing a lot of research, it was between this & a refurbed iPad. I am so glad I chose this one! I was able to get an open-box product at an excellent price from Best Buy. Because I stayed with Android, I was able to move my apps & data almost seamlessly. Being able to use SD cards enables me to backup my data. More RAM makes everything so much faster. All in all, an excellent investment!

    Best value for a flagship tablet

    A used Galaxy Tab S4 is in the $200s. With 4 GB of RAM and a great CPU and GPU it will blow away any new cheap tablet. Its mostly the RAM that gives an android phone or tablet a fast responding feel...yet it is often mentioned in "the details". The GPU will allow playing games with good graphics, like Fortnite, but don't count on Fortnite working wonderfully. Most games will work great however. A cheap new tablet will not handle those graphics. I'm happy with my purchase.

    Great new tablet, super sharp screen.

    My previous tablet was a Samsung Galaxy tab S. with a 16G hard drive. It wasn't enough space for the apps I wanted. When the new S4 arrived it included a keyboard and I use it all the time. The 64G hard drive is a real bonus. The keyboard includes a stand, The S4 has 4 speakers with good volume, the tab S only had 2 speakers. Some apps are rotated 90 degrees from the stand, I hope I can find a way to change that.

    Works really well was going to get a tab s6 lite but this beats it in every way the only issue I was having is it looked it was originally made for China things were coming up in mandarin and no play store was installed so I went online to google to get it and switch offed the Chinese keyboard as well. The burn in is not noticeable great value

    Great value in this tablet.

    Perfect for what I needed. Nice clear screen and long battery life. I use it with Lyrics Pad when the band plays out, so it is usually on at least 4-1/2 hours at a time non-stop. It runs so much faster than the Tab S2 I had. Plenty of RAM and internal memory.

    Great Tablet for PvP Gaming

    By far the best tablet I have owned. If you only want to stream video or surf the web then there are plenty of cheaper options, but if you want to engage in PvP games then this is the tablet that will take you to another level.
