The Rolex Submariner Ref 126610LV: It's Easy Being Green
Rolex is known for producing watches with a few different signature colorways. But every once in a while, the watchmaker releases timepieces with distinct, colorful accents. The Ref 126610LV, also known as the Rolex Submariner Kermit watch, is one of the brand's newer offerings.
The most notable feature of this steel dive watch is its green bezel, or "Lunette Verte." The Ref 126610LV is not the first green-colored watch Rolex released. Since the Submariner watch lineup began in 1953, several colorful iterations have hit the scene. However, the Ref 126610LV came out in 2020 and includes some of Rolex's refined design features.
Key Features of the Ref 126610LV
The Rolex Submariner Kermit has a bidirectional bezel with a green Cerachrom insert. The ceramic-like material is more durable than the aluminum used in previous Kermit watches, offering better scratch and corrosion resistance.
The bezel is wider than in older Rolex Submariner Kermit watches. That's because the Ref 126610LV has the Maxi case and Maxi dial.
The Maxi case still measures 40 millimeters in diameter, but it has a stockier profile and more squared-off design elements. It complements the newer Maxi dial with slightly larger index hour markings.
The Ref 126610LV steel dive watch has Rolex's standard black dial. That's what makes the Kermit watch different from the Hulk watch. This Rolex Submariner watch limits the green color to the bezels, creating a unique accent while maintaining the traditional look.
The Caliber 3235 Movement
With the release of the Ref 126610LV, Rolex debuted the Caliber 3235 movement. It's a Superlative Chronometer movement with the brand's Chronergy escapement. The new escapement is unaffected by magnetic fields thanks to its nickel and phosphorous construction.
The movement maintains the blue Parachrom hairspring but now has reserve power for up to 70 hours.
