Not sure if the removal of insole had anything to do with it but these shoes fit slightly different than any of the other pairs of these I've owned over the past 4 years and are taking longer to break them in, other than that great shoes, great conditioning and very thankful for the discounted pricing, been using these for a while and these are by far the best out of all 4 versions Nike has released, add a pair of orthopedic insoles added to them and it feels like your walking on couch cusions
