The Jordan Zoom '92 is part a series of self-consciously retro shoes that were deliberately released to revive the design styles of basketball sneakers from the 1990s. The shoe's other major distinguishing feature is the Zoom Air unit found in its midsole. Besides for this, the shoe's upper is almost all black, except for a gold Jumpman on the tongue, a smaller gold Jumpman on the lower-rear, a partially gold Nike Swoosh on the side, some gold decorations on the heel, and a gold attachment by the upper laces. The front half of the upper and the heel are covered with glossy black leather, and black synthetic fabric covers the rest of the kick. Another gold Jumpman is inside the shoe. The sole is made of white and black rubber.
