God of War III

"God of War III" is a hack-and-slash adventure game. It delivers a single-player experience, and the action unfolds from a third-person perspective. In addition to engaging in increasingly difficult combat, player-controlled Kratos must solve puzzles and overcome platforming challenges.

This video game and the entire license is exclusive to Sony PlayStation. It was originally released for the PlayStation 3 on March 16, 2010. It was also included in the Saga edition, which collected the core trilogy and was released for the PlayStation 3 on August 28, 2012. Sony also rereleased the "God of War III" remastered edition for the PlayStation 4 on July 14, 2015.

The "God of War III" remastered edition uses the extra power the PlayStation 4 provides to include full 1080p support and target 60 frames per second. It also includes a photo mode that lets the player take enhanced, high-definition screenshots. This version also includes all downloadable content released for the game.

The story is set in ancient Greece populated by Titans, deities, heroes, and many characters from Greek mythology. Legendary locations, such as Olympus and Hades, exist in this world as well. The video game's protagonist and the player’s avatar is Kratos, the “Ghost of Sparta.” Kratos bears the ashes of his family on his skin. His entire journey throughout this series is set off by Zeus’s trickery. Kratos finally has the opportunity to fell Zeus and destroy Olympus as well as Poseidon. He also has the opportunity to destroy Hades and Titans in the process.

The gameplay and combat in particular has the player wield weapons, magic, relics, and special items. Some of the notable blades Kratos has access to include:

Yes. Completing the game unlocks a new game plus mode. In this bonus mode, you have access to 10 Godly Possessions, which are hidden near conquered foes and provide Kratos with special gameplay abilities such as unlimited magic. Other unlockables include a Challenge of Olympus mode, which features seven trials. These trials include challengs such as killing an enemy without weapons before time runs out. Overcoming these trials grants rewards to the player, including:
