This little purse with it's Disney character decals caught my eye the minute I saw it. I think it is probably from the 1950s or 60s. It is made of wood and what appears to be wood or bamboo sticks or dowels, and decorated with Disney character decals. The inside side panels are covered in Christmas gift wrapping paper. I don't know what kind of original closure there was, possibly a magnet, but there is some glue residue on the flap as shown.

This Rare Dumbo ceramic piece was manufactured by Modern Ceramic Products in Sydney, Australia for only 20 years from 1945 until 1965. This MCP creation is known as Dumbo "Looking Up” because in the Disney film he would have been gazing up at Mrs. Jumbo, his elephant Mother.
