Cacique Women's Balconette Bras and Bra Sets

The Cacique balconette bra by Lane Bryant is designed to provide comfort all day with fuller figures in mind. Offering stability, support, and lift, these Lane Bryant bras in the balconette style come in a range of cup and band sizes. Cup coverage ranges from minimal to full, but the wide-set straps leave more of the chest exposed for invisible wear with a wide range of clothing styles.

What is a balconette bra?

The balconette bra is designed to perform like a shelf, or a balcony, for the breasts. Strong support is provided for the lower portion of the breasts to offer more lift and separation. Though similar to the demi bra, the balconette bra has straps that are set wider apart to make this style easier to hide even when worn with plunging necklines.

Why is Lane Bryant mentioned with the balconette by Cacique?

Lane Bryant specializes in plus-size clothing. This brand of bra, including the balconette bra, is a line of the Lane Bryant brand.

Cacique is a line of intimates created by Lane Bryant especially for fuller figures. Special consideration is made for each bra size, including hard-to-find cup and band combinations. Designed to reduce pinching and pain often associated with ill-fitting bras, this line offers sexy intimates that stay comfortable to wear until the end of the day.

How do you pick the right size of balconette bra?

Size is everything when choosing a bra for comfort that will last all day. You will need to take two measurements to account for the band and the cup in front of a mirror with a measuring tape while wearing a bra without any padding. Place the measuring tape evenly and horizontally and hold firmly without pinching or squishing. Follow the steps listed below:

  • To find band size: Place measuring tape around your body beneath your armpits and around the front just above the breasts. Round your measurement to the nearest inch. If you have an odd number, go down one to the closest even number. This is your band number.
  • To find cup size: Place measuring tape around fullest part of the breasts. Subtract the band number from this to find your cup size using the difference between the two measurements. A difference of 2 inches is a B, 3 inches a C, 4 inches a D, 5 inches a DD, 6 inches a DDD, 7 inches an F, 8 inches a G, and 9 inches an H.
